The ultimate aim of one of our Code Breaker Treasure Hunts is to be the quickest team to crack the 6-digit Cryptex Code and open the Cryptex.

A Cryptex is a locking device that can only be opened by revealing the correct 6-digit code.  In order to reveal this 6-digit Cryptex Code, each team must answer the clues which are based around their chosen Treasure Hunt location.

There is no set route to the Treasure Hunt but rather each team must work out their strategy and plan the most effective use of their time. Poor planning can lead to an inefficient route and the wasting of valuable minutes!

Once a team has revealed the 6-digit Cryptex Code and opened their Cryptex, they must return to the finishing venue at which point their time will stop. Their time at this point is known as their Finishing Time.

TEAM CHALLENGES

In order for a team to improve their Finishing Time, there is an opportunity to generate Bonus Time from the successful completion of pre-set Team Challenges.

These Team Challenges require each team to take pictures of themselves in certain locations, with certain people, doing certain things! The Bonus Time that a team earns from these Team Challenges will be subtracted from their Finishing Time to reveal their Final Time.

THE WINNER

The team that has correctly revealed the 6-digit Cryptex Code in the quickest Final Time will be the winners.

This method of scoring keeps the final outcome of the treasure hunt unknown until the end, creating a real buzz of excitement as to who has been victorious!

If the finishing venue permits, we can show your photos to the group which always creates a hilarious and popular finale to the event!
