We ran two fantastic team building activities for Takeda UK at De Vere Wokefield Park recently; both of which went down an absolute treat!
The first team building event they tackled was the ever popular Whacky Races. This event is fantastic fun and required teams to design, build, and then race their very own pedal powered karts! We had some fantastic racers by the end of the design phase with some equally fantastic names – I think “Lucky Lochy” the Lochness Monster inspired creation was our personal favourite!
Once the sponsorship pitches, design phase , and bribery was over the teams lined up on the grid for a series of heats followed by a closely contested final! The “Gazelles” romped home in first place and took their rightful place on the top of the podium before popping the cork on their Champagne!
Once the adrenaline had subsided and everyone had recovered from an action packed and frantic afternoons racing, the group was challenged with a Strictly Come Dining activity which is one of our most popular cooking team building activities. This activity is becoming unbelievably popular and is a fantastic, hands on cooking experience.
Once the group has been split into smaller sub teams, the expert Chefs (who have worked with the like of John Torode and Marco Pierre White) perform a short demonstration taking the group through the different dishes they will be creating! It’s then over to the teams as they start to prepare their culinary masterpieces! Takeda opted for a three course Italian menu and created a beautiful Nicoise Salad with seared fresh tuna to start, a pancetta and asparagus ravioli for their main, and finished with a sumptuous pear bordelou tart! Naturally everything was made from scratch, and with some expert guidance from our team, the results were fantastic!
As well as the two team building activities mentioned above, White Rhino also sourced the venue (De Vere Wokefield Park) which was used for a morning conference, and also overnight accommodation for the delegates. De Vere Wokefield Park is a fantastic venue with great staff and can easily accommodate meetings, conferences, and team building activities. It also has a fantastic golf course and plenty of bedrooms.
Michelle from Takeda had the following feedback:
“Everybody had a fantastic time and people have been talking about the day back in the office. It was great fun and a brilliant opportunity to get to know some of the new team members a little bit better which is exactly what we wanted”.
