‘The Big Bake’ is the ultimate baking team building event. Are you ready to roll up your sleeves, don your apron, and get cracking? During this hands-on cookery team building activity, we will task teams to create FOUR mouth-watering bakes under the watchful eye of our amazing chefs!
The Ultimate Baking Team Building Event!
After transforming your meeting room or event space into your very own ‘pop-up’ kitchen, our team of professional chefs will welcome guests. These baking superstars will lead you and your team through this incredible baking team building event. As guests look around the room and see the mobile cooking stations, commercial ovens, fantastic ingredients, pots, pans, utensils, and even a kitchen sink, the penny drops!
Your head chef will take centre stage and lay down the challenge that the teams will face:
Create four mouth-watering bakes in the allotted time and present them to the panel of judges (our chefs). We will score the Bakes on appearance, presentation, and above all, taste!
After a short demonstration by your head chef, it’s time for the teams to make, bake, and decorate their various creations! Teams of 8-10 people are allocated their cooking station, complete with all the equipment they could need, including pots, pans, mixers, bowls, utensils, and the precious recipes for their bakes. Teams will also be provided with chef’s hats and colour coordinated aprons to match their cooking stations.
A team of expert chefs will be on hand throughout your baking team building activity. They are there to offer advice, answer questions, and also provide guidance as teams begin to mix, make, and bake. Furthermore, there will be lots of ingredients available to use, and we always encourage teams to get creative with their bakes.
There are no points for under proved bakes!
As the clock counts down, teams will need perfect their bakes ready to present to the judges. There is lots to do, so teams must work together to ensure they complete all their bakes on time. Be warned; we will penalise undercooked cake or split custards!
Finally, once all teams have presented their bakes to the judges for scoring, the results will be announced, and the winning team presented with their medals (and eternal glory)!

The amazing bakes that the participants make during this brilliant baking team building activity are continually changing. The chefs always try to keep the menu seasonal and varied. We have listed some example menus for you to have a look at below. These are only meant as a guide, and therefore we can, of course, tailor the menu for you and your team!
1st January – 30th April
Selection of shortbread biscuits, smoked salmon and cream cheese blinis, Chelsea buns, handmade chocolate truffles
1st May – 30th September
Summer berry tarts, seasonal quiches, cheddar, chive and onion scones with cream cheese and chutney, strawberry and cream chocolate truffles
1st October – 16th November
Seasonal savoury puff pastry tarts, Classic jam or lemon curd tarts, sweet or savoury palmiers, milk chocolate and Baileys truffles
17th November – 31st December
Gingerbread houses, themed Christmas cakes, handmade Christmas pudding chocolates, luxury mince pies.
