One of the (many) great things about working in the events industry is stumbling across a hidden gem every once in a while, and that is exactly what happened when we found The Wood Norton in Evesham, Worcestershire.
To say that it has a rich and interesting history would be an injustice and has in the past been home to French Royalty, a BBC broadcasting centre and training academy, school, and now a superb , independantly owned hotel and event venue. Since being purchased by the current owners, The Wood Norton has undergone quite a transformation with around £10 million being spent over the past 7 years. The result, as you would expect, is fantastic and the finished product really is superb.
With 50 bedrooms and a brand new, dedicated meeting and events space that can accommodate 120 delegates, The Wood Norton is able to cater conferences and meetings of varying sizes. In addition to this, there are more than 15 acres available at the hotel and so there is plenty of room for team building activities (including motorised activities).
Without fail, the one thing that guests always remember at the end of an event is the food and I am pretty sure they will remember it after an event at The Wood Norton. With two AA Rosettes being awarded for their 7-course tasting menu, there is certainly no shortage of skill in the kitchen and it would appear that they have invested as much attention to detail in their food & beverage, as they have the rest of the venue.
