This Olympic themed activity is the ultimate sports day event that challenges teams to compete a variety of fun tasks to win as many medals as possible.
Going for Gold is an Olympic extravaganza that everyone will love, and with a host of physical and mental challenges for the teams to complete, there is sure to be something for everyone.
As guests arrive they will be welcomed by our team of judges, all of whom will be sporting beautiful tracksuits or shell suits. Once they have welcomed guests and explained what will be happening, it’s time to get competitive.
Your group will be split into an even number of teams for this activity. Each team will rotate around four different zones where they will face another team in that zones particular challenges. Each challenge is run in a head-to-head format to ensure everyone is active and engaged.
As teams move around the various zones they will meet new teams that they will need to face.
Some of the challenges the teams will face are:
Space Hopper Polo
A favourite British game with a modern twist – the horses are now inflatable!
Go with the Throw
Teams compete in our furiously frustrating but hugely entertaining Ping-Pong Shot Put, Paper Plate Discus and Floppy Foam Javelin.
Dummy High Jump
The high jump, but not as we know it! Teams must work together and co-ordinate their movements in order to launch the life-size dummy over the bar!
Bobsleigh
Due to lack of snow, teams must complete the bobsleigh course by moving the sledge along the course using rollers!
Team Slalom
Teams synchronise their movements and master the art of walking on the team skis before completing an obstacle course.
School Races
Teams compete in school race favourites such as the sack race and egg and spoon race.
Your event will culminate in a medal ceremony where Gold, Silver, and Bronze medals will be awarded to the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd placed teams.
