Indoor team building activities are perfect as standalone activities or as part of a bigger event. Furthermore, we can run them all year round!
We have a massive choice of unique and engaging corporate indoor activities for you to consider. These events are great fun and ideal if you don’t want to be at the mercy of the British weather! Although, if you would prefer a little fresh air, take a look at some of our outdoor team building activities.
If you are looking to get ‘hands-on’, take a peek at the spectacular cookery activities such as the Big Bake and Molecular Masterclass. If you would prefer something a little more cryptic, Escape the Room could be the perfect option. Alternatively, if you want something collaborative that will get your group working as one, Rollercoaster is hard to beat when it comes to indoor team building activities.
All of the indoor events we offer are completely mobile and as a result, can be run anywhere in the UK. We can tailor each event depending upon the size of your team and your available time to ensure it’s suitable.
Furthermore, the vast majority of these indoor team building activities only require a single large conference or meeting room. Even the fantastic cookery events we offer don’t need any kitchen access whatsoever. Team building indoors is the perfect option if you don’t have access to outdoor space and are a great alternative to an outdoor activity.
If you already have a venue, that’s great. We are happy to liaise with them ahead of your event to ensure everything runs smoothly. Alternatively, we would be more than happy to source a suitable venue on your behalf – take a look at our venues page for some inspiration.
If you have any questions about the indoor team building activities below or would like us to provide you with a proposal for your next corporate event, please don’t hesitate to contact a member of our team, who would be happy to help.
Why choose an indoor team building activity?
Corporate team building events are a great way to improve communication skills, develop team bonds, and have some fun!
We have a wide range of indoor team building events that can be run for small or large groups. During these activities, team members will face a variety of challenges and problem solving tasks that have been designed to improve team work and challenge teams in different ways.
If you have been working as part of a remote team over the past few years, you may have taken part in some form of virtual team building such as a virtual murder mystery or virtual escape room. These events are superb but now that face to face team building is back on the agenda you may be thinking of hosting a corporate away day or team building day. If that is the case, an indoor team building activity would be a great addition to the day.
Our most popular indoor team building events!
1. Quboid
Based on the famous game show, this indoor team building activity challenges teams to complete a series of skills-based challenges in return for points. Just like on the TV show, the twist comes when teams enter our Quboid and have to complete the challenges under pressure and with the whole group watching. As the lights are dimmed and the music starts, the pressure begins to mount. Will you conquer your nerves and beat Quboid?
2. CSI: Forensic Challenge
Do you think you have what it takes to solve a murder? CSI: Forensic Challenge is a hands-on forensic masterclass where you and your team will be challenged to solve a murder.
Your first task is to collect as much evidence as you can from our crime scene and then analyse it using real forensic techniques. The more evidence you collect, the easier it is to narrow down your list of suspects and catch the killer! This event is run completely indoors and requires a single large room.
3. Chocolatiers Apprentice
The Chocolatiers Apprentice is one of our most popular indoor events and is crammed with chocolate from start to finish. Our professional chocolatier will be on hand throughout the activity to show participants how to make their own handmade chocolates from scratch and answer any questions people may have. At the end of the activity, your chocolatier will also judge the team’s creations and announce a winner!
4. Escape the Room
With four different mobile escape rooms to choose from, this indoor team building activity is hugely popular and great fun. Each room has a different them and is hosted by a member of our team who will be ‘in character’ and dressed to impress. Escape is not guaranteed with this event and you will need to solve the various riddles, clues, and challenges in order to be successful. This indoor event lasts for approximately 3 hours and is suitable for up to 40 people.
5. Rollercoaster
Rollercoaster is the ultimate collaborative team building activity that gets teams thinking about the bigger picture. Teams are provided with all of the materials needed to construct a free-standing rollercoaster as well as a ‘specification’ sheet. Each team will be responsible for constructing a single section of the rollercoaster but they need to ensure it connects to the sections both before and after theirs to ensure the rollercoaster is a success.

With different challenges and tasks to choose from there is guaranteed to be something for everyone to get stuck into which makes this activity a great choice for large groups with varied tastes. Indoor Team Building Activity FAQ’s
How much space do I need for an indoor team building activity?
This will really depend upon the activity you choose and how many people will be taking part. There are a variety of options when it comes to indoor team building activities and we would be happy to advise which would be most suitable for the space you have available.
How many people can take part in my event?
Indoor team building activities are very flexible and can be run for groups of 8, all the way up to 500 (as long as there is enough room). As you would expect, some activities work better than others for certain group sizes and so it is best to speak with one of our team to see which one would be best suited to you.
How long does it take to set up?
Most activities can be set up in around 1 hour (which fits perfectly into a lunch break). Some, more intricate activities or those with a lot of equipment can take slightly longer.
Who will run my activity?
Your indoor team building activity will be fully managed from start to finish by a professional event facilitator. They will also have a number of experienced event crew helping them throughout the event to ensure everything runs smoothly.
Do we need to provide any staff to help run the activity?
No – we will provide all of the staff required to set up, run, and clear down your activity so that you can enjoy the event with your colleagues.
How long will my activity last?
The duration of your activity will vary depending on which option you choose. Typically indoor team building activities will last for between 1 ½ and 3 hours from start to finish. This allows enough time for an initial briefing, the activity itself, and a short results session at the end.
How long will it take for you to clear away afterwards?
We usually ask for a minimum of 1 hour to clear away once your indoor team building activity has finished. If we can have slightly longer than this, that is ideal. We know that sometimes we may need to vacate a room very quickly once an activity has finished and there are ways we can ensure this happens. Please let us know if this is the case.
Some people won’t be attending our event in person. Do you have any options that can be run virtually for these guests?
Yes absolutely. If you have some guests attending your event in person and some attending virtually from home or another location, then one of our hybrid team building activities would work brilliantly. With these options both in-person and virtual teams can play the same activity together, regardless of where they are. They are a great way to ensure everyone is involved and engaged, no matter what the circumstances.
How much do indoor team building activities cost?
Again, this will vary depending on the activity you choose, and how many people are taking part. As a guide, our remotely hosted activities are the most cost-effective team building options and are priced at £15 + VAT per person, plus £295 + VAT per facilitator (1 facilitator per 50 people).
